I love this. I like what the Baba (drummer) said “rhythm is the soul of life. Everything we do is in rhythm.” So true. I hear music all around me all the time. It could be an A/C running, a copier machine at work, or water dripping from a faucet I will hear it musically. And the drums! Don’t get me started on the drums. It is our heartbeat and you can’t help but feel it in your chest stirring your soul and wake up and respond to it. The orishas feel the same way. I started playing music (youtube drumming videos) for orishas too. The music stays in my head all day sometimes.

LOL … So true, KB. Good music stirs and transmits emotion from the performer to the listener and can even “soothe the savage beast.” Definitely a live energy.
